They have no organised entertainment on board – but offer a daily programme of lectures, briefings and themed movies. No glitzy restaurants – but the chefs prepare high quality small batch cuisine using local ingredients.

They do not have ‘formal’ nights or assigned seating – Welcome to dine with whom you please. They do not have room service menus but the crew will be happy to serve you a meal in-room if you prefer to eat in.They do not have minibars – but the guests love to mingle over drinks on the sundeck or in one of our cosy lounges.We do not have a casino – but the Captains welcome you to the bridge to observe operations and have a chat They have no suites – but all cabins are ensuite with large picture windows or portholes and serviced daily. As a added bonus they do not charge for shore excursions.They do not require tips and welcome young and old.

Offering unique destinations and shore-rich programmes. The shallow-draught ships can go where larger ships cannot. They shy away from long ocean voyages. Every day typically has at least one stop for water or land-based activities. On each voyage they will have a Trip Director or Expedition Leader, and on longer voyages, they have Guest Lecturers who are typically experts in the geology, history or flora and fauna of the region.
